I tried this app due to suspicious activity happening in my room. Its great! Records for as long as the computer isn’t asleep. It even predicts how much memory the video will take per hour, with multiple video settings.
Really Handy Tool
When I want to check my camera position or make a quick video this is my GoTo App! One click gets me there and shows me everything I need to know.
Basic but functional
Basic recorder but does what I need. I like that files are created automatically unlike QuckTime player where I have to select "save as" every time. The main feature that is missing for me is the ability to change audio quality settings. It allows to select overall bitrate but the audio quality is fixed. I use it to record myself playing guitar so I care more about audio quality. The feature I think it shouldn't have is the close confirmation dialog. There is no information to lose even if I close it accidentally, so it doesn't need a confirmation, or at least it should be configurable. As it is now it requires extra click to close. Also I noticed a bug, when the first video after I change Logitec settings for Standard/Widescreen is sometimes stretched vertically.

aspect ratio busted on catalina
Looks fine while recording but saved mov file plays back (quicktime or imovie) with video appearing squished to the wrong aspect ratio. All objects squeezed and lengthened. Clicking on app support link yields a blank web page. Very disappointed, looked great while recording.
Super easy & solves audio sync issues
I've been dying for a solution to out or sync video and audio when I record with my external webcam and external mic. I kept having syncing issues with many programs. Here you can change the framerate in the settings. When I change the frame rate to 15 fps, the audio and video sync without me having to do it in post-production!
Great for the purpose
While I love the way it functions, the videos aren't very clear. It could be my comp though. Not sure but horrible video recording

Could be the perfect app if it didn't randomly lag and stop recording in the middle of recording a video.
THIS IS NOT GOOD - No Horizontal Camera Flip
First, it doesn't work as explained. It doesn't flip my Logitech Brio camera. Second, it really doesn't have any useful settings, Quicktime is way better for free.
Waste of Time
I installed this app, set it up to record a video feed, it showed the camera feed, but then every time I tried to hit the record button, it crashed and closed. Tried deleting and reinstalling, nothing.

Value for price
It’s basic but does not pretend to be anything else. I really just want to use it to download video from my old DV video recorder to mpg/ mp4 format. Initially I was ready to set it aside as useless due to poor performance and a lack of understanding how the editor worked. I think the product would really benefit from a rudimentry User Guide inside the App. The app provides a reasonable amount of settings but I have little understanding of what is optimum. So, after some trial and error ( App freezes making some selections) I worked out what works well for me and what did not. I downloded video into .mov format ( only one that worked). After that I used the Edit function ( again after some trial and error) to convert to mp4 format. A little cumbersome but works. The output ( mp4) worked fine when played on my video player.
